As a Quality Assurance Document Control Specialist, you are a cornerstone in our mission to save lives. Together with your colleagues from the Document Control Team, you monitor the integrity of our documents. You manage the document lifecycle, from creation to archiving, ensuring quality and compliance.

What can you expect?

In our GMP-controlled environment, your expertise ensures the highest quality of cell therapy products. Your tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Document management: You manage our document control systems, ensuring every process aligns seamlessly with our operational needs. Your oversight guarantees the smooth management of vital documentation throughout the site.
  • Review and compliance: You review new and revised procedures and documents to ensure they meet stringent global and site-specific standards. Your keen eye for detail ensures every document reflects our commitment to quality and compliance.
  • System support and management: You will increase user engagement with our Document Management System by providing the necessary support and guidance. You manage workflow processes efficiently so that each team member can apply them quickly and easily
  • Documentation issuance: You oversee the issuance of batch-related documentation, a cornerstone of our GMP manufacturing process. Your role is to ensure that every batch produced meets our high standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Document lifecycle management: You handle the reconciliation and archiving of GMP documentation, maintaining a meticulous record of our manufacturing journey. Your attention to detail ensures the integrity and accessibility of vital records for both current operations and future audits.

 

We work in a shift regime, no nights but weekends.

We are looking for a Head of Digital Technology for Research and Early Development – Lab Technology & Operations who is highly innovation-driven, inspiring and collaborative to join us in our Digital Technology for Patient Solutions (DTPS) team, based in our office in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role

You will be leading a team that empowers scientific research through the design and delivery of compliant, secure, and innovative technology solutions that enhance laboratory operations and scientific excellence across Belgium, the United Kingdom, and the United States, ultimately driving better outcomes for patients.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of IT professionals, solution architects and project managers. Collaborating closely with researchers, lab leads, and global digital partners, you will contribute to transforming how science and technology come together to accelerate research & early development at UCB.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the delivery of digital solutions for research labs across multiple regions
  • Ensure lab systems comply with regulations and remain Trusted, Secure, Safe and Compliant
  • Enable and automate raw data capture and processing of state-of-the-art lab instruments
  • Shape and drive the DTPS strategy and project portfolio execution
  • Manage system lifecycle, support and innovation of all research laboratory applications, including GLP platforms
  • Coach and develop a diverse team of experts and future leaders

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

  • Master’s degree in life sciences, information technology, or a related discipline
  • Over 10 years’ experience in IT and R&D, ideally with GxP and lab automation exposure
  • Proven experience in leading people, managing cross-functional programs, projects and budgets
  • Hands-on knowledge of cybersecurity, cloud storage and compute technologies, and software development best practices
  • Experience in supporting scientific areas like genomics, imaging or bio/chemistry
  • Inspiring leadership style, analytical thinking and outstanding communication skills

Wat moet je doen?

Als vrijwilliger collectieregistratie help je bij de registratie van erfgoedobjecten. Dit omvat typisch de volgende taken:

  • Afborstelen en reinigen
  • Opmeten
  • Labelen
  • Fotograferen
  • Inpakken
  • Registratie van de gegevens in fiches of in het digitale collectiebeheersysteem

Ook word je als vrijwilliger ingezet  voor de reiniging en reorganisatie van de bewaarplaatsen, zoals de rekken en de dozen, het verplaatsen en herverpakken van objecten, het controleren van de labels en de standplaatsen en het inscannen van documenten.
