Dankzij een reeks door de auteur op maat gemaakte permissieve licenties, effent Creative Commons de weg van een &#8220;Alle rechten voorbehouden&#8221; model naar een &#8220;bepaalde rechten voorbehouden&#8221; model. Deze licenties blijken bijzonder aangepast te zijn aan de verspreiding via het internet en laten het catalogiseren van de inhoud op effici\u00ebnte wijze toe. In de praktijk zijn deze licenties echter begrensd tot sommige doelgroepen: in essentie degenen waarin de bezoldiging niet het hoofdmo-tief van hun ontstaan was. In deze optiek kunnen deze licenties dus nooit het auteursrecht volledig vervangen.
