{"id":32767,"date":"2023-06-16T09:51:20","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T07:51:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abd-bvd.be\/?p=32767"},"modified":"2023-06-16T09:51:20","modified_gmt":"2023-06-16T07:51:20","slug":"junior-audiovisual-archivist-documentalist-westpole-brussels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abd-bvd.be\/en\/jobs-en\/junior-audiovisual-archivist-documentalist-westpole-brussels\/","title":{"rendered":"Junior Audiovisual Archivist\/Documentalist (Westpole &#8211; Brussels)"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_introduction\">Introduction<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_introduction\">\n<p>We\u2019re looking for a\u00a0<strong>Junior Audiovisual Archivist\/Documentalist<\/strong>, who will join our great team, on the\u00a0<strong>long-term, full-time mission in Brussels.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We prefer interns or someone who has their first job, or even a graduate student.<\/p>\n<p>Work is on-site based.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_organization\">Organization<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_organization\">\n<p>Belgium \u2013 International Organizations<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_function\">Function<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_function\">\n<p>Documentary analysis of current and historical audiovisual productions in the MAMS including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>writing of summaries and photo captions in English and French;<\/li>\n<li>drafting, import and validation of detailed shotlists in English and French;<\/li>\n<li>creation and indexation of semantic metadata (thesaurus, event places, authority list of personalities) in English and French;<\/li>\n<li>on-line publication of the media;<\/li>\n<li>assistance with the development of the tools and procedures for analysis and documentation;<\/li>\n<li>in depth documentary research for media professionals, general public and in-house clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_requirements\">Requirements<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_requirements\">\n<p>Bachelor degree in Library and Information Science or in a relevant field for the job<\/p>\n<p>Good knowledge and experience with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Microsoft Office package more specifically Excel,<\/li>\n<li>Good capacity in using (web)search engines<\/li>\n<li>Good capacity of analysis and information search<\/li>\n<li>Can work mainly independently and respect deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Good command of English,<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of other EU languages is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Interest in the Audiovisual sector is a plus<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the European Institutions is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>As a documentalist for the audio-visual division u must show skills in :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Principal Subjects<\/li>\n<li>Introduction to Document Control<\/li>\n<li>The Basics of Document Control<\/li>\n<li>Document Identification<\/li>\n<li>Document Classifying &amp; Filing<\/li>\n<li>Document Distribution<\/li>\n<li>Managing Documents Throughout Their Lifecycle<\/li>\n<li>As-Built and Final Documentation<\/li>\n<li>Document Control Procedures and Specifications<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Document Management Systems<\/li>\n<li>Interactions with project teams, engineering teams, managers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<h4 class=\"cx_h4 cx2_offer\">Offer<\/h4>\n<div class=\"cx2_offer\">\n<ul>\n<li>You can work as an Employee or as a Freelancer consultant.
